Today in my Toastmaster's meeting, one of the speakers spoke on the "Journey or the Destination". I had to ask myself, which is more important? Is it the process of developing in my career, writing and researching, speaking and coaching on the various topics of leadership and career development for women, or is it the destination - being that noted speaker, author coach, that drives me? Will I miss some scenery and vista points rushing to my desired goal or will I move too slowly, taking in the view and arrive at my destination way too late? I have now set aside one day a week to research and review literature on leadership and career development and I am committed to blogging at least once a week. Am I going too slowly and missing the mark or am I moving at just the right pace, enjoying the process? Perhaps I'm already there and should just stop and smell the roses. What do you think? Is it the journey or the destination?
